The Sing Their Name Choir is hosting an awareness evening. We'd love to welcome anyone who would like to learn more about the support we offer to adults in Greater Manchester who have been bereaved by suicide.
You may have lost a loved one to suicide yourself, or you may be a professional, organisation and/or individual trying to support someone through this very complex bereavement.
It's a chance to see what we do and to understand the important role that peer support and connection have to play in the aftermath. You may also be surprised to learn just how much singing in a group can help mental health!
More than 200 lives are lost to suicide in Greater Manchester each year. At least six people are seriously affected by that death (to the extent that they are likely to find it difficult to work, form relationships and live to their full potential). They may find comfort in our choir and our awareness evening is all about helping those people find us.
Whether you are attending personally or professionally, you will be warmly welcomed.
This is a free event - please register for a ticket as it helps us know how many people will be joining us.
